WE Have Grown!

Malta started out with one house. It was started by a single mom, with no money, but some great resources and a phenomenal recovery community. Bowling Green has become well known for its recovery community, anti-stigma, harm reductions, and all-around great folks.

All of our houses are within walking distance to shops, restaurants, employment, Goodwill Opportunity Center, and the 13th St. Clubhouse where there are meetings at least 5 times per day.

We strive to help each other as much as possible, but everyone has to do their part to make it work. Entitlement won't get you far around here, but if you are willing to humble yourself and be teachable; there is no lengths we will not go to in order to help you get your life back.

Recovery Residences NEED Clinical Services.

Not all Recovery Residences are built the same. The programming matters! While some in recovery may just need a jump start with housing and a lower level of care, there are some of us that need to be able to get extensive treatment AND be able to get started on life skills such as a job. That is what our programming does. We require that you see a therapist and follow all recommendations. You're required to work, attend 12 step meetings and be an active member of your fellowship and our house. This program was built off personal experience and the successes so far shows it works if you work it!

The Original Malta

Bowling Green, KY

When the original Malta was started it was a trashed-out frat house that had been rented specifically to party in. Think "Animal House" and that's fairly accurate.

With a lot of hard work and collaboration from the entire recovery community she has been going strong almost 2 years. We are proud of her! Each bedroom has 2-3 beds per room. Each floor has its own bathroom and there are 2 full kitchens, living rooms, and laundry. This house has an Adult Peer Support Specialist living on-site.

Malta 823

Bowling Green, Ky

Another "Diamond in the Rough". She was a little rough around the edges and when we found her, she needed a lot of love. Once again, our recovery family stepped up and got her gorgeous! From trap house to a place of healing!

This home has two floors with two living areas and two kitchens. There are 5 resident bedrooms with 2-3 beds per room! We have a total of 4 bathrooms and plenty of parking if you have a vehicle you would like to bring. We have an on-site house manager that is Adult Peer Support Certified.

University transitional

Bowling Green, Ky

University is our first truly transitional women's house for those that are further along in their recovery and have graduated a recovery program. In this house you have to have at least 6 months drug and alcohol free. While in this house it does have less accountability with extended curfews and more passes allowed.

This house is 2 stories with 5 bedrooms, housing 2-3 beds per room. There are 4 full baths and 2 half baths with two living areas. This house is a brand-new build and we are very proud of it. The ladies like to joke that they live in an "AIR BNB" and they are not wrong. We have an Adult Peer Support Specialist that is over the house that is there daily to meet the needs of the ladies within the house. We are family, we work together.
